Course Description
The 60 Seconds for Educators is an online on-demand course designed for educators. We estimate the course will take you approximately 2 hours to complete.
Once you enroll in the course and pay for the course, you will be directed to the log on and given a link to begin the course. Students can progress through the readings and final quiz at their own pace during the 2 week enrollment period.
Target Audience
The online class is designed for teachers, aids, and school personnel who work with students on a daily basis. Any teachers that are seeing a rise in misbehavior or lack of attention in the classroom will benefit from this class.
Course Goals
1. Bridge the gap between what science knows and what education does.
2. Comprehend the science behind misbehavior and inattention.
3. Recognize stress in students and its roll in their behavior.
4. Understand the science behind the 60 Seconds method.
5. Implement the most efficient styles of intervention.
Course Content
The course is divided into 4 areas:
1. An overview of Self-Regulation
2. Understanding how the Central Nervous System and the Brain play a part in student’s learning and every day life
3. Optimal interventions for Trauma and Stress
4. Dr. Reggie’s Resources for success

Grading
Each student taking this course will take a 20 question final quiz at the end of the course. A score of 16/20 will be required to pass the course. A student may retake the course anytime within the 2-week window to improve their score. Students who receive a score of 16 or higher out of 20 will receive a completion certificate.
