Funding Cycle: Our application window is currently closed, but will reopen back in the fall. Organizations that submitted their application in May can expect to receive approval status by the beginning of July.

 

Amount: $15,000 and $35,000.

Eligibility: Your organization directly serves youth between the ages of 3-18 years old in the United States.

  • Your organization serves youth in high poverty areas.
  • Your organization charges a participation fee of $299 or below.
  • Organization provides consistent access to physical activity for kids (physical activity can take many different forms and does not have to be a structured sports program).
  • Schools Only:  Your school does not charge a tuition and more than half of the student body must be eligible for free/reduced lunch.

Purpose  Champions Grants that have the potential for high impact and significant positive change to K-12 public schools in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Champions Grants are awarded in the following areas: Science & Technology, Language & Literacy, Health & Wellness (in partnership with Chopt Creative Salad Co.), and the Arts.

Funding Cycle: The 2024 application process will open in spring 2024. Applicants will be notified of their status in December 2024.

 

Amount: $15,000 and $35,000.

Eligibility: K-12 public schools in Charlotte, North Carolina, that have been fully operational and serving students for a minimum of 3 years, are eligible to apply.  Past Champions Grant recipients are eligible to apply.

Purpose: Providing students access to healthy and nutritious meals is the focus of No Kid Hungry Foundation grants. Currently, the foundation supports projects that increase access to summer meal programs, school breakfast, and after-school snacks and meals. Plus, advocacy efforts, including anti-hunger issues and needs and educating families about SNAP and the Women, Infants, and Children programs. Interested schools can submit letters of inquiry year-round.

Funding Cycle: Summer Programming

Amount: Average grants range from $5,000 to $10,000.

Eligibility: non-profits and Preference will be given to schools located within a 50-mile radius of a Jamba Juice store

*****SDA Farm to School Grants

Organization: USDA Farm to School Grants

Purpose: The purpose of the USDA Farm to School Grant Program is to assist eligible entities in implementing farm to school programs that improve access to local foods in eligible schools. On an annual basis, USDA awards up to $5 million in competitive grants for training, supporting operations, planning, purchasing equipment, developing school gardens, developing partnerships, and implementing farm to school programs.
