Savin Rock Community School in West Haven, Conn. holds a ribbon-cutting for its “peaceful playground” Wednesday, November 20, 2013. The playground has designs and templates painted on the school’s blacktop playground for use during recess activities and games. The initiative was paid for and designs painted by the vertical Church in West Haven.

This stencil can be painted by two adults in about 5 hours.

This stencil set is designed to cover an area of 16 feet by 27 feet and is divided into 8 sections.

No, the stencil set does not include paint. However, it comes with complete instructions, including paint specifications, to ensure the map is painted accurately.

The stencil is made of a thick butcher paper. If you are careful and don’t rip it, it is possible that it can be reused. However it is designed for single use.

Once your design is down you won’t need the stencil again. You just paint over the lines & colors  that are down on the ground to touch up.

No. outlining the states is optional. However, it is not recommended as it limits learning opportunities.

The stencil set is designed for outdoor use only, as it requires a large space for the Map to be painted.
